After two years of being based in Nashville, 8 Ball Aitken has released an exciting new album called ‘Southern Hemisphere’. 8 Ball wrote and recorded all of the songs in Nashville, working with producer Mike Flanders and some of Music City’s hottest session musicians — including members of Little Big Town, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alison Kraus, Emmylou Harris, and Robert Plant’s bands. 8 Ball has performed at festivals and music venues throughout the USA and Canada (and 15 other countries). His recent journeys through the honky-tonks and juke joints of Tennessee, Texas, California, Florida, New Jersey, West Virginia, North and South Carolina have resulted in a swag of new songs. Three of 8 Ball’s songs have been used on American television shows ‘Justified’, ‘Parking Wars, & ‘Breaking Amish’. 8 Ball has appeared as an extra on the international hit TV show, ‘Nashville’. Another highlight has been performing at Loretta Lynn’s ranch. The red-head from FNQ has been asked back to the American music legend’s ranch to play more gigs in 2014 as well as festival appearances across Australia and North America.
